Essential Periodontal Care for Low-Income Patients

Community Nurse (CNHC) respectfully requests funding of $40,000 to support a portion of 800 periodontal treatments ($50/visit) provided to our low-income patients in FY2016. This support would help ensure that patients who need, but cannot afford, planing and scaling procedures have access to these essential dental services.; Funding from the VNA Foundation in the amount of $40,000 is being used to cover a portion ($50/visit) of the unfunded cost of 800 root planing and scaling procedures for low-income patients. The overall goal of this program is to provide essential periodontal services to improve patients’ oral and overall health, and enable them to begin and complete a prescribed restorative dental plan. ; Community Nurse (CNHC) respectfully requests funding of $40,000 to support a portion of 800 periodontal treatments ($50/visit) provided to our low-income patients in FY2016.
